This installation was reviewed by Elisa Turner in the Miami Herald in 2003. She wrote, " intriguing...is Chiang's series of texts about her Chinese mother's life in an arranged marriage...complemented with the artist's hand-stitched paper and fabric collages, diagrams of Chinese pictograms and mail-box like sculptures of folded and gilded rice paper missives. Chiang is a vivid storyteller, recreating moments in her own childhood as well...she's only just begun to mine the visual treasures from this rich material."
